That is the complete published line-up. One name carries its own description: Council Oak Steaks & Seafood says what it serves in its title, and there is a lounge attached to it. The rest — Brick’d, YOUYU, Constant Grind — are names, and a name is not a cuisine. Plenty of guides will happily tell you that one is Asian and another is a coffee counter. They are guessing from the words, and so would we be.

Practical

How to plan an evening around them

Two things make dining here easier to organise than at a downtown hotel, and one thing makes it harder. Easier: the floor and the rooms never close, so a late meal is a normal request rather than an imposition, and you are never more than a corridor from your bed. Also easier: with everything on one site, a table booking and a show ticket do not need to be co-ordinated across a city.

Harder: there is no walk-out alternative. The address sits in Ottawa’s rural south end, roughly 18 to 19 km from the downtown restaurant districts. If everything on site is full or shut, your fallback is a drive, not a stroll. That is the argument for ringing 613-822-8668 ahead on a Friday or a concert night rather than turning up hungry and hopeful.

Ask, when you call, which rooms are actually open on your dates and whether any of them take reservations. Restaurant line-ups inside casino hotels rotate more than most people expect, and a room that is listed is not always a room that is serving.

Where Ottawa eats, for the nights you go into town

If you are pairing a stay out here with a day downtown, the two districts every local will name are ByWard Market, established in 1826, one of Canada’s oldest and largest public markets, just east of Parliament Hill, and Sparks Street, North America’s first permanent outdoor pedestrian mall, established in 1961. Both are food-dense in the way that only very old and very central streets are.

This guide deliberately recommends no individual restaurant in either. We verify venue-level facts against operators and regulators, and there is no equivalent source for “is this bistro still good in September 2026”. A guide that hands you a list of downtown favourites it has not checked is doing the thing this site exists to avoid.
